“Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him” (Mark 11:22–23).

We all deal with issues of life that require the intervention of God. So often, we allow ourselves to get overwhelmed by the pressure that comes with daily life. It is so good to know that God provided a way of escape from life issues, for all His children. He does not promise we’ll be without problems, but he promises our burdens will be light because he will carry them for us.

When Jesus rose from the dead, all power in Heaven and on earth became his. Jesus then gave you the same resurrection power when you accepted him as your Savior. You have in your spiritual backpack the name of Jesus, which is above all names. It is a mighty weapon, that when proclaimed in the face of adversity, will deliver you.

Take your place of authority in prayer today. You are the child of The King. In humility, you stand tallest on your knees. There is power in spoken words. Dare to speak to your problems with confidence. Know that when you demand their dismissal, it is done. The Lord may not answer in the way you expect, but trust that, however, he releases the burden from you, it is the best for your life. Soon, your mountains will be hills and eventually plains.

Dear God,

Today I take refuge in you. You have promised to set the faithful apart, and you will hear when I call. With the faithful, you prove yourself faithful. Therefore, I trust you are a shield for me. You will surround me with favor. You are my strength; you are my rock and my deliverer. No one who waits for you will be disgraced. So, I will rejoice in the shadow of your wings. Amen
